Crawley & Gatwick: export certificates & home vet visits
Gatwick Airport is inside the borough of Crawley, so this is one of the two places where most of our export certification happens.
Pet shippers working out of Gatwick need an Official Veterinarian to examine animals and sign export health certificates before they fly. Roxana is an OV and certifies dogs, cats and exotic pets travelling all over the world, examining them at the shipper's premises or at the owner's home.
From the centre of Crawley to the airport it is about 14 minutes on the A23 without traffic, and Heathrow is under an hour away by the M23, M25 and M4, so the same OV can cover work at both airports.
Families in Crawley can also book home visits: check-ups, vaccinations, microchipping and the animal health certificate for a pet going to the EU.

Crawley & Gatwick: questions
Can you examine animals at a shipper's premises near Gatwick?
Yes. Most of our pet export work is for pet shippers around Heathrow and Gatwick, and animals can be examined where they are.
How far ahead should a shipper book the OV?
As soon as the flight date is known. Many destination countries only accept certificates signed a few days before travel, and some need tests or vaccinations long before.
Do you also do home visits in Crawley?
Yes, Monday to Friday by appointment, mostly towards the end of the week.
