Brighton & Hove: home vet visits & pet travel certificates
Brighton & Hove is the southern end of our corridor. Here the work is mostly home visits and pet travel paperwork for families on the coast.
We come to you, so a cat that hates the carrier or a dog that shakes in waiting rooms can be seen on its own sofa. Check-ups, vaccinations, flea and worm treatment and microchipping are all done at home.
Travelling to France with your dog or cat? Whether you leave by ferry or by road through the tunnel, a pet going from Great Britain to the EU needs an animal health certificate, issued by an Official Veterinarian no more than 10 days before you arrive (GOV.UK). Roxana is an Official Veterinarian and can issue it at your home.
Brighton is the furthest point from the airports: about 44 minutes to Gatwick by the A23 and M23 without traffic. Export certification for shippers usually happens closer to the airports, but private owners moving abroad from the coast can ask too.

Yes. The animal health certificate can be issued at your home, as long as it is done no more than 10 days before you arrive in the EU and the microchip and rabies vaccine are in order.
